Post Production

I finished post production on the full album today. I cant tell you how much work has gone in to recording, and re-recording, and listening, and re-listening on all kinds of speakers and sources. I tend to work 40-50 hour 6 day work weeks at my day job, so it's hard to make time to get motivated to do music-related work. I have definitely taken the time recently and it has has been a lot of sacrifice on not only my sanity, but also on my family and friendships. However, I think that the end result will be well worth the hard work.

When I started [product] in 2007, I had a lot of experience with shows, and live performance, and a brief stint in music school. At the time I had no idea what it would take to finally get to a place where I would be producing music on a professional level.

In 2009 and 2010, I had an opportunity to sit in on the better part of the recording of nolongerhuman's "Antipathy." I learned a lot about the steps and the processes of professional creation and layering for depth. I think that we learned a lot together as a group of friends in the studio. I would like to thank everyone involved at that time, and nolongerhuman, for that push into the bigger world of music.

More recently, I have a good local support group here in Portland, and I would like to thank all of you for helping me through unemployment and the economic decline.

This is all coming to light very soon.

Seattle Today!

Today we are headed up to Seattle, WA to open for OBSZON GESCHOPF at El Corazon. I haven't "toured" in so long that it's kind of weird to have to put together the gear. We play locally often and I dont usually bring as much gear for local shows. It's going to be a really exciting time though, We haven't been up to Seattle since before the new year, and we have some new merch!
